Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Cut Power In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks follow periods of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were bracing for further attacks.
