I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
